How to Find Your Nearest Dubai Metro Station
1. Share Your Location
Tap "Find My Nearest Station" and choose Allow. If you'd rather not, or location is blocked, type your area or a nearby landmark in the search box.
2. Compare the Closest Stations
You'll see five stations ranked by distance, with the walking time and line for each. The nearest one isn't always the best: a station slightly further away on the right line can save you a change.
3. Open the Station Guide
Each station page lists the exits, bus connections, fare zone, opening hours and what's within walking distance.

Several of Dubai's busiest spots have no metro station of their own. For each one, this is the closest station and the simplest way to cover the last stretch.
Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis
Nearest station: Sobha Realty (R36)
Change to the Dubai Tram at Sobha Realty and ride to the Palm Jumeirah stop. From there, the Palm Monorail runs the length of the trunk to Atlantis. The monorail has its own ticket, so allow a few minutes to buy one.
JBR and The Beach
Nearest station: Sobha Realty (R36)
Take the Dubai Tram from Sobha Realty to the JBR 1 or JBR 2 stop. Both are a short walk from The Beach and The Walk. Your Nol Card works on the tram.
Dubai Marina
Nearest stations: Sobha Realty (R36) and DMCC (R37)
Both stations sit on Sheikh Zayed Road at the edge of the Marina. You can walk to the waterfront from either one. For the far side of the Marina, the tram is quicker than walking.
Global Village
Nearest station: Union (R18)
The metro doesn't reach Global Village. During the season, RTA runs direct buses from several metro stations. Check the current routes on the RTA app before you go, because they change each season.
Dubai Frame (Zabeel Park)
Nearest station: Max (R21)
It's roughly a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Frame. In summer, a taxi from the station is the more comfortable choice and costs little.
Dubai Hills Mall
Nearest station: Mall of the Emirates (R32)
There's no metro to Dubai Hills. Ride to Mall of the Emirates, then take a taxi or ride-hailing car for the last 10 to 15 minutes.
All Dubai Metro Stations by Line
Dubai Metro has two lines and one branch. Pick a line to see its stations, then tap any station for exits, nearby places, bus routes, fares and hours.
- 🔴 Red Line: Runs from Centrepoint in the east to UAE Exchange in the west. It serves the airport, Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, Al Barsha and the Marina.
- 🟢 Green Line: Covers old Dubai, including Deira, Bur Dubai, the souqs, Healthcare City and Al Qusais.
- 🟧 Route 2020: A branch of the Red Line that ends at Expo City Dubai. Check the destination on the front of the train, and change at Jabal Ali if yours is going the other way.
Changing lines: Union and BurJuman are the only two stations where the Red and Green Lines meet. Follow the overhead signs for your line colour, then the name of the last station in your direction. Both are counted once in the 53-station total.
The Red Line is 52 km long, with 29 stations between Centrepoint (R11) and UAE Exchange (R42). Stations are listed east to west.
The Green Line has 20 stations between Etisalat by e& (G11) and Creek (G30), including the two interchanges at Union and BurJuman. It curves through Deira and Bur Dubai.
Route 2020 leaves the Red Line at Jabal Ali and runs to Expo City Dubai. It has 6 stations through the southern suburbs.
Dubai Metro Ticket Prices and Nol Card Fares (2026)
Quick answer: A short metro trip costs AED 3 with a Silver Nol Card. Most trips across the city cost between AED 5 and AED 7.50.

You pay for the number of fare zones you cross, not the number of stops. Children under 5 ride free.

Which Nol Card Should You Buy?
Red Nol Ticket
AED 2, plus the fare. A paper ticket you load with single trips. Pick this if you'll ride the metro once or twice. Sold at every station machine.
Silver Nol Card
AED 25, with AED 19 of credit. The standard card for the metro, tram, bus and water bus. The right choice if you're in Dubai for more than a day.
Gold Nol Card
AED 25. Lets you ride in the Gold Class carriage at double the standard fare. You get more space and a quieter trip.
Nol Pay (App)
A digital Nol Card for NFC phones. Tap your phone at the gate instead of a plastic card.
Where to Buy or Top Up a Nol Card
Every station has ticket machines that accept cash and cards, plus a customer service counter. You can also top up on rta.ae or in the Nol Pay app. Busy stations such as Union, BurJuman and Mall of the Emirates have full-service counters.
Keep enough balance to finish your trip. The exit gate won't open if your card can't cover the fare, and you'll have to top up before leaving.
Good to Know Before You Ride
- Gold Class and the women and children section are at one end of the train. Men who board the women and children section, or anyone in Gold Class without a Gold card, can be fined.
- No eating or drinking in stations or on trains. That includes water and chewing gum, and fines apply.
- Rush hours are about 07:00 to 09:00 and 17:00 to 20:00 on weekdays. If you have luggage, travel outside these times.
Dubai Metro Operating Hours
The Dubai Metro runs from 05:00 to midnight on most days. It starts later on Sunday and runs later on Friday.

⏰ Sunday: The metro doesn't open until 08:00. For an early Sunday flight or shift, book a taxi or take an RTA bus.
🌙 Friday: Trains run about an hour later than usual, until around 01:00.
Holidays and events: RTA often extends hours for public holidays, New Year's Eve and major events. It announces changes a few days ahead.

How Often Do Trains Run?
Trains come every few minutes during the morning and evening rush, and slightly less often at other times. Late at night the gaps are longer. Don't cut it close for the last train: the final train reaches each station at a different time, so check your own station's guide.
Dubai Metro Zones Explained
Dubai is divided into fare zones, and your fare depends on how many of them your trip crosses. The number of stops makes no difference.
- Within one zone (AED 3.00 on Silver): short hops such as Union to Al Rigga, or Business Bay to Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall.
- Across the city (up to AED 7.50 on Silver): longer trips such as Deira to the Marina, or the airport to Expo City Dubai.
