About Sobha Realty Metro Station
Sobha Realty Metro Station (R36) is a major interchange station on the Dubai Metro Red Line, located in the Dubai Marina district in Nol Zone 2. It is the point where the Route 2020 extension branches off from the main Red Line toward Expo City Dubai, and also serves as the metro connection to the Dubai Tram network — making it one of the most multimodal transit hubs in the city. The station is named after Sobha Realty, a large UAE real estate development group.

Dubai Marina is the world's largest man-made marina, a 3.5 km waterway flanked by over 200 residential and hotel towers accommodating more than 55,000 residents. The sobha realty metro station sits at the southern entry point to this district, connecting the marina community to the wider metro network. The Marina Walk — the 7 km pedestrian promenade ringing the waterway — passes through a continuous sequence of waterfront restaurants, yacht berths, and cafes that become busy from late afternoon into the night.

Here is a straightforward guide to entering, navigating, and exiting Sobha Realty Metro Station Station whether you are a first-time visitor or a regular commuter.

Look for the Dubai Metro logo (red M on white background) on street signage. Sobha Realty Metro Station has multiple exits — check which exit is closest to your destination before entering. Exit maps are displayed at the top of the stairs and beside the gates.

Tap your Silver or Gold Nol Card on the reader at the entrance gate. The gate will display your remaining balance. If your balance is below AED 3.00 the gate will not open — top up at the vending machines beside the gates before entering.

Check the overhead direction signs on the platform. On the Red Line trains run towards Centrepoint (Rashidiya) in one direction and towards UAE Exchange / Expo City in the other. On the Green Line trains run towards Etisalat by e& or towards Creek. Confirm your direction on the station map before the train arrives.

Stand behind the yellow safety line until the train stops and doors open. Let passengers exit first then board. Tap your Nol Card at the exit gates at your destination — forgetting to tap out results in the maximum fare being charged for that journey.
