Frequently Asked Questions

DMCC Metro Station operates 05:00–00:00 Monday to Thursday and Saturday to Sunday. On Fridays the station opens at 10:00 and closes at 01:00. Trains run every 3–7 minutes at peak times and every 7–10 minutes off-peak.
DMCC stands for Dubai Multi Commodities Centre — the UAE's largest free trade zone by number of registered companies, with over 21,000 member firms. The station is named after the DMCC free zone, which is headquartered in the Almas Tower within the Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) cluster. The station is also commonly called the JLT Metro Station.
DMCC Metro Station has two exits: the Landside exit faces the JLT towers and the lake promenade — this is where most restaurants, pharmacies and the lake walkway are accessed. The Seaside exit (Seaside / Sheikh Zayed Road side) opens toward the main road. The Dubai Tram stop connects via a footbridge from the Seaside direction. For JLT dining and the promenade, always use the Landside exit.
The easiest way is the Dubai Tram from DMCC station — it runs every 8–10 minutes and takes approximately 10 minutes to reach JBR / The Walk or Dubai Marina Mall. The tram stop is connected to the metro station via a covered footbridge. Walking to JBR is possible (~930m, ~15 minutes in cooler weather) but the tram is recommended in summer. Your Nol Card is valid on the tram — no separate fare needed within the same journey.
Dubai Marina Mall is approximately 730m from DMCC Metro Station — about a 10-minute walk. However, the Dubai Tram is faster and more comfortable, especially in summer: take the tram 1–2 stops from the DMCC tram stop and you arrive at the mall-side tram station in under 10 minutes. The tram runs on your Nol Card.
