About Creek Metro Station

Creek Metro Station (G30) is the southern terminus of the Green Line in Zone 1, positioned at the edge of the growing Dubai Creek Harbour district between Al Jadaf (G29) and the Creek waterfront. As the end-of-line station, Creek is often quieter than other Green Line stops, but it serves a growing function as the transit gateway to the Emaar-developed Dubai Creek Harbour — a major residential and hospitality district taking shape along the Creek.

The station opened in September 2011 with the Green Line and was positioned with future development in mind. Creek is planned as an interchange point for the Dubai Metro Blue Line when that line eventually opens, which would significantly increase its role as a transit hub. Currently, the station's catchment area covers the Creek Harbour development to the east and the Jaddaf Waterfront district a short walk to the west.

The immediate surroundings of Creek Metro Station are largely undeveloped or under construction. Dubai Creek Harbour — with its promenade restaurants, the Address Creek Harbour hotel and the North Promenade café strip — is approximately 1.1–1.4km from the station, reachable in 15–20 minutes on foot or about 5 minutes by taxi. Note: Creek Park is not near this station — it is approximately 2.7km away, and Al Jadaf (G29) is the closer Green Line stop for the park entrance.

From Creek Metro Station you can reach Al Jadaf (G29) in about 2 minutes heading toward Etisalat. Dubai Healthcare City (G28) is one more stop, approximately 5 minutes. BurJuman (G26/R26, the Green–Red Line interchange) is around 8 minutes north. Union Metro Station (G20/R20) takes approximately 20 minutes on the Green Line.

Creek Metro Station is used by Dubai Creek Harbour residents and hotel guests, healthcare workers connecting from the Green Line to the Healthcare City campus, and commuters who board at this terminus to get guaranteed seating on peak-hour trains heading into the city. The Zone 1 Silver Nol Card fare is AED 3.00 to most central Green Line stops. For visitors heading to the Creek Harbour promenade, a short taxi from the station (AED 12–18) is the most practical option given the 1.1km gap between the station and the waterfront development.

About Dubai Creek Harbour — Creek Metro Station Area

Dubai Creek Harbour is one of Emaar's largest mixed-use developments, planned across a series of towers, hotels and waterfront communities along the Creek south of old Deira. The district is still developing, but the northern promenade — anchored by the Address Creek Harbour hotel and a strip of cafes and restaurants — already functions as a destination for waterfront dining and weekend outings. Creek Metro Station (G30) sits at the western edge of this development, making it the most accessible transit point for visitors arriving by metro.

The Creek Tower site — planned to surpass the Burj Khalifa in height — is the most prominent future landmark of the district and is visible from the station area. In the meantime, the Address Creek Harbour promenade offers the most complete experience: cafes, restaurants, a marina and views across the Creek toward old Deira. The promenade is at its most pleasant from October to April when temperatures drop enough for outdoor seating.

The practical reality of Creek Metro Station is that most Creek Harbour destinations require a short taxi or a 15–20 minute walk. Plan accordingly: take the metro to Creek (G30) then a short taxi of AED 12–18 to reach the Address promenade or the North Promenade cafes. The same Nol Card covers bus routes 66 and C13 as an alternative to taxis for the onward connection. Last metro service on the Green Line departs around midnight Sunday–Thursday and around 01:00 on Fridays.

  1. Look for the Dubai Metro logo (red M on white background) on street signage. Creek Metro Station has multiple exits — check which exit is closest to your destination before entering. Exit maps are displayed at the top of the stairs and beside the gates.

  2. Tap your Silver or Gold Nol Card on the reader at the entrance gate. The gate will display your remaining balance. If your balance is below AED 3.00 the gate will not open — top up at the vending machines beside the gates before entering.

  3. Check the overhead direction signs on the platform. On the Red Line trains run towards Centrepoint (Rashidiya) in one direction and towards UAE Exchange / Expo City in the other. On the Green Line trains run towards Etisalat by e& or towards Creek. Confirm your direction on the station map before the train arrives.

  4. Stand behind the yellow safety line until the train stops and doors open. Let passengers exit first then board. Tap your Nol Card at the exit gates at your destination — forgetting to tap out results in the maximum fare being charged for that journey.

Route 66 links Creek Metro Station to Jaddaf Waterfront and onward to Oud Metha and Bur Dubai, providing a bus alternative for those heading to Dubai Healthcare City or the wider Creek corridor without taking the metro. Route C13 is a community circular serving the Jaddaf Waterfront development, useful for getting between the station and specific Jaddaf addresses. Route C14 provides additional circular coverage in the Creek area. All routes accept Nol Card; the Zone 1 fare of AED 3.00 covers both metro and bus on the same card.
