Baniyas Square Metro Station (G21) is on the Green Line at Al Ittihad Square in Zone 1, sitting at the historic roundabout that marks the commercial heart of old Deira. Exit 1 and Exit 2 both open onto Al Musalla Road, where budget hotels, currency exchange shops, traditional restaurants and the lanes of the Deira covered souq district begin immediately. For travellers exploring old Deira and the neighbouring Gold Souq area, this is one of the most practical metro stops in the city.

The station opened in September 2011 as part of the Green Line. Baniyas Square itself — now officially Al Ittihad Square — is one of Dubai's oldest public spaces, and the surrounding streets retain a character shaped by decades of trade: South Asian, Arab and Iranian businesses share the same blocks, and the mix of languages, goods and customers makes this part of Deira one of the most commercially active corners of the city.

Union Metro Station (G20/R20) — the Green–Red Line interchange — is two stops north and about 5 minutes. BurJuman (G26/R26), the second Green–Red interchange, is approximately 10 minutes south.
