About Al Jadaf Metro Station
Al Jadaf Metro Station (G29) is an elevated station on the Green Line in Nol Zone 1, serving the Jaddaf Waterfront district along the Dubai Creek in the Oud Metha area. The station is the metro gateway for a mixed-use creek-side development that includes hotels, residential towers, a pharmacy, and clinical services adjacent to the historic Al Jadaf dhow-building yards. The name "Al Jadaf" derives from the traditional Arabic term for a dhow craftsman — the area was once Dubai's main dhow construction and repair yard.
About Jaddaf Waterfront — Al Jadaf Metro Station Area
Jaddaf Waterfront is one of Dubai's newer creek-side mixed-use districts, developed on land adjacent to the historic Al Jadaf dhow-building yards. The al jadaf metro station is the district's primary transit anchor, and the area's character is shaped by the combination of traditional maritime craft activity visible from the waterfront and the modern hotel-residential development that has grown up since 2011. Unlike the more densely commercial Bur Dubai and Deira waterfront areas, Jaddaf has a quieter, residential-hotel feel with wide promenade access to the Creek.
