About Financial Centre Metro Station
Financial centre metro station (R24) is a Red Line station in Zone 1, positioned on Sheikh Zayed Road at the heart of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) — the UAE's premier financial free zone and one of the world's leading financial hubs. The station sits between Emirates Towers (R23) to the north and Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall (R25) to the south, and is the most direct metro access point for the DIFC main campus, Gate Avenue, and the cluster of ultra-luxury hotels including the Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons that line the DIFC perimeter.
About DIFC — Financial Centre Metro Station Area
The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is a special economic zone established in 2004 that operates under its own legal system based on English common law — distinct from the UAE civil law system that governs the rest of the country. This legal framework makes DIFC uniquely attractive to international financial institutions, law firms, and professional services companies. Over 6,000 firms are currently registered in DIFC, employing more than 40,000 professionals, making it one of the most active financial hubs between London and Hong Kong.
