Burj Khalifa Dubai Mall metro station (R25) is on the Red Line in Nol Zone 1, elevated on Sheikh Zayed Road at the entrance to Downtown Dubai — the most-visited urban district on earth. The station gives direct rail access to the Burj Khalifa (828 metres, world's tallest building), The Dubai Mall (world's largest shopping mall by total area), and The Dubai Fountain (world's largest choreographed fountain) — all within a 10-minute walk of the station exit. A free RTA shuttle bus also operates between the station and Dubai Mall's Fashion Avenue entrance every 10 minutes.

Downtown Dubai is an Emaar Properties masterplan development covering approximately 2 square kilometres around the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain. The district was built from scratch in the 2000s and contains the Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, Souk Al Bahar, Dubai Opera, Address and Vida hotel brands, and hundreds of residential towers. This station has a direct covered connection to Dubai Mall, making it the easiest and most affordable way to reach the destination. Here is the step-by-step route.

Tap your Nol Card at the exit gates and follow the overhead signs for "Dubai Mall". There are multiple exits at this station — make sure you follow the correct signs for the mall entrance rather than the street exits.

A covered air-conditioned walkway or bridge connects directly to the mall entrance. No outdoor walking is required. The link is accessible at all hours that the metro operates and is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

The walkway leads you directly into Dubai Mall. From here all mall facilities, restaurants, and attractions are accessible. Walk time from metro gates to inside the mall is approximately 3–6 minutes.

To return to the metro follow the "Metro Station" signs inside the mall. Last trains depart at approximately 00:00 Sunday to Thursday and Saturday, and at 01:00 on Fridays. Check the RTA Dubai app for the next departure time before leaving the mall.

By Bus
Routes X28, X29 (from Deira/Airport). Route 27 (Business Bay). Dubai Mall free shuttle bus from the metro station runs every 10 min to Fashion Avenue entrance.

Pre-book At the Top tickets at burjkhalifa.ae to save 30–50% vs. walk-up price. Prime sunset time slots (16:30–18:00) sell out weeks ahead, especially during cooler months (Oct–Apr).
Best Time for the Fountain
Shows run at 18:00 then every 30 minutes until midnight. The 18:00 golden-hour show offers the most spectacular photography light with the Burj Khalifa glowing behind the jets.
Take the Free Shuttle Bus
The Dubai Mall free shuttle runs every 10 minutes from the metro exit to Fashion Avenue entrance. Air-conditioned, always on time, and much easier than walking in summer heat.
