About Expo Metro Station — Expo City Dubai
Expo metro station (R76) is the terminal station of the Route 2020 Line, Dubai's most recent metro extension, and provides direct access to Expo City Dubai — the permanent evolution of the World Expo 2020 site. The station sits in Zone 3 and was purpose-built as a flagship transit hub for the 192-country global exhibition that ran from October 2021 to March 2022. Today it serves the 4.38-square-kilometre Expo City district, which has been repurposed as a permanent innovation, sustainability, and events destination on the south-western edge of Dubai.
About Expo City Dubai — Expo Metro Station Area
Expo City Dubai is the permanent legacy of the World Expo 2020, transforming the 4.38-square-kilometre expo site in the Dubai South district into a mixed-use innovation city. The transformation includes permanent offices for international organisations and tech companies, residential apartments, hotels, museums, parks, and the Al Wasl Plaza — one of the most photographed new structures in the UAE. The geodesic dome at Al Wasl Plaza, with its 360-degree projection mapping and central fountain, has become an icon of modern Dubai within just a few years of opening.

-
Tap your Silver or Gold Nol Card on the reader at the entrance gate. The gate will display your remaining balance. If your balance is below AED 3.00 the gate will not open — top up at the vending machines beside the gates before entering.
