About World Trade Centre Metro Station
World Trade Centre Metro Station (R22) is an elevated station on the Dubai Metro Red Line, serving the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) complex in Nol Zone 1. It sits between Max (R21) and Emirates Towers (R23) on Sheikh Zayed Road, giving direct metro access to the UAE's largest conference and exhibition venue from any point on the Red or Green Lines. The world trade centre metro station handles very high passenger volumes during major trade shows and exhibitions held at DWTC throughout the year.
About DWTC & Za'abeel — World Trade Centre Metro Station Area
The DWTC district is defined by the rhythm of its exhibition calendar. For roughly 30 weeks of the year, the world trade centre metro station area transforms into one of Dubai's busiest transit corridors as tens of thousands of exhibitors, buyers, and visitors converge on the exhibition halls for shows like GITEX (October), Cityscape (November), GULFOOD (February), and Arab Health (January). Outside of major shows the area is quieter — a SZR hotel strip, residential towers, and government offices that fill with a more typical office-hour crowd.
